No-nonsense simple delivery options & costs -
Local Delivery is now FREE - Selected postcode area - approx 10 mile radius of Fairford, Gloucestershire and surrounding towns and villages (including Cirencester, Northleach, Burford, Lechlade, Faringdon, Cricklade & all villages inbetween). When you add your delivery address our system will recognise if your postcode is within our qualifying area, outside of this area courier options apply. For the forseeable future, we are running a contactless local doorstep delivery service each week so you don't run out of the good stuff or even have to leave the house. Orders will be delivered to your door within 1-2 days - how cool is that?! Order by 5pm Wednesday for delivery in time for the weekend.
Someone 18 or over needs to receive the delivery. Not going to be in? - clear instructions must be left when you are completing your order or pinned on your front door so that we can leave your beers or other drinks with a neighbour or in a safe place. If you are out at the time of delivery and you have not specified a safe place to leave your order or one is not obvious to us, you will be left a card asking you to contact us. If your delivery address is hard to find, please leave clear directions in the delivery instructions box provided at the checkout. (We take no responsibilty for goods once delivery has taken place.)
Standard Courier Delivery - £6.49 - estimated to arrive within 3 to 5 working days from date of dispatch.
Express Courier Delivery - £8.49 - estimated to arrive within 1 to 2 working days from date of dispatch.
Standard Delivery on orders over £80 is FREE

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic delivery speeds are likely to vary due to the increased demand on courier services. Please allow 10 days before contacting us if your order still hasn't arrived.
During busier periods such as Christmas or Fathers Day, please allow a little extra time for delivery.
We are hoping to offer Next Day delivery soon.
Your drinks are carefully packed in bottle specific recycleable boxes in order to minimize breakages etc and can be heavy depending what you've ordered. We have tried to price our courier costs fairly with this in mind. Prices are open to flexibility, any savings we can make form our 3rd party courier partners, we will pass on to you to get the shipping costs down where we can. Keep your eye out for any delivery promotions we may run from time to time.
Orders are processed Monday to Friday. By the weekend we’ll have earned a beer or three!
Remote Location Surcharges
*Due to the remoteness of some parts of Scotland and its Islands there will be an additional surcharge of £9**. This will be applied to your order at checkout based on your location and postcode. Please do allow an extra day or three longer for delivery of these orders. To see if your address will be subject to the surcharge and additional transit days check HERE.
**Please note, in the event of a Free Delivery promotion, the base £6.49/£8.49 delivery charge will not apply but the remote location surcharges will still apply in the relevant areas.
Large Bespoke/Corporate Gifting/Event Orders
If you have a specific requirement, large order and/or require your order super quick, contact us before you place an order to check we have enough stock and can meet your time scale. We’ll give you a delivery quote based on the quantity ordered, service you require and your location. Email all the details to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
At present we are unable to deliver to other International locations but bear with us as it may be possible in the future. Unfortunately we are not able to deliver to Hospitals, PO Boxes or to BFPO addresses.
Top tip - Make the most of your order, most of our boxes are for 6 or 12 bottles so if you don’t fill them you’re paying to ship air!
At The Beer Detectives, we aim to deliver a hassle free service and we are therefore happy to receive returns and issue refunds.
If for whatever reason you wish to return your goods, you can return them up to 14 days after receipt to qualify for a full refund (minus the original postage), providing the goods are returned in perfect unused condition* and where possible unopened and/or in their original packaging with any labels attached. If goods are returned after 14 days, we will offer you a credit note to choose again.
*We reserve the right to refuse a full refund, if the goods are returned damaged or in a non-resaleable condition except where you have informed us of any damage prior to return.
There are a few ways you can return an item, let us know which one is best for you -
1. You can return it with your own courier, just let us know which one, the tracking number and expected delivery date.
2. We can also arrange the return collection by courier if you would like us to. Email us at email@example.com for more details.
(Where possible repack the item(s) in the original packaging to avoid breakages and return your parcel to us (Contact us for our returns address). We advise all customers must return goods via insured courier or recorded delivery and to keep the proof of postage. This will cover you if the goods are lost or damaged in transit. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in return transit.)
Please email us with the reasons for return and your order number and your contact details in order that we can process your refund quickly.
Who pays for returns?
Returns are sent at your own expense, unless the return is a result of our error (e.g. you received an incorrect or defective item). Return costs in this case will be covered by us and if required, replacement products sent to you free of charge. Any queries please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
How long will it take to receive my money back?
All refunds will be issued to the same payment method as the original order and will be processed within a maximum of 7 days once we have received and processed the returned item(s). In most cases this will happen much sooner and we will email/text you on the day the refund is processed as long as we have your contact details.
We hope it never happens but should your order arrive and something is damaged in the box, please get in touch with us asap so that we can get on the case and send out any necessary replacements. If damage in transit has occurred please send us a quick photo of the damaged item and box/packaging so that we can make sure our packaging is better in future. Where this has occurred because of our or our chosen couriers error, we will send out replacement items to you for Free.
